(A) Discipline Policy The goal of our center is to develop self-esteem and self-control. Children attending our center are prohibited to exhibit the following: If a child repeatedly displays these behaviors, the family will be called in for a conference with staff and a determination will be made at that time. If the inappropriate behaviors are continuous with no improvement after several attempts, this will result in termination of services rendered for that child at our center and refund of monies will be annulled. Commit to Memory… (A) Tips for Entering Day Care (A) Saying goodbye to diapers… We are here to help… however, this is a process that requires your commitment at home. Always communicate to your child what will be happening. The more informed your child is about the “potty training” process, the more in authority they will feel thus giving them more confidence. Get them excited about the process. Explain to them that they are now going to daycare and they will become big boys and girls. Have them “potty train” the doll and praise the doll’s success. Each time your child uses the potty correctly, make sure to praise him/her as your did the doll. You can also reward your child with things like a sticker. Again, make this a fun and happy experience. Once your child says goodbye to diapers… put your child in toddler pull-ups and don’t turn back even if there are some accidents along the way. If your child has an accident, please don’t get angry or disappointed. Reassure your child that they everything is fine and they will do better next time. Know that all children will eventually learn to use the potty, just with a little help from you and us. Who knows, it might be easier than you think. (A) ILLNESS PROTOCOL MEMO During the school year, your child may become ill. This memo is to help you along should such a circumstance occur. The information provided applies to all children admitted into our program and it is to ensure the protection of Your child. Mild Illnesses Moderately Ill Should this occur, please make care arrangements for your child ahead of time so as to not inconvenience yourself and your child. Please inform your child’s teacher as well so that she can carefully plan for any missed work that your child may be able to attend to at home. In order to reach these goals, we encourage children to communicate with one another; using speech to resolve dilemmas and convey emotions. We believe that as children mature with verbal expression, they will be less likely to express themselves in an aggressive manner. Children are given “time out” sessions that are age-appropriate; however, always under the supervision of an adult.

(Q) What is the day care policy when my child is sick?
If your child is slightly ill, he/she will be allowed to attend school. However, if symptoms worseness while the child is at school you will be contacted immediately and asked that you pick up your child as soon as possible. Again, this is for the protection of all children in our program.
If your child is having a fever, diarrhea, vomiting, or any other symptoms listed below, we ask that you MUST keep your child at home either until he/she is cleared by a doctor (with a note for our files) and/or symptoms resolve. Once again, this is not to punish any child; on the contrary it is for the safety and full recovery of that child and the health of other children.
