(Q) What is the sick policy of the day care?

Illness Protocol

Over the course of the school year your child may become ill. This memo is designed to inform parents of our protocol should such a circumstance occur. The information provided applies to all children admitted into our program and it is to ensure the protection of your child.

  • If your child is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below they MUST stay home/will be sent home. He/she may only return after a full 24hours with clearance from a doctor (a note for our files) or until the symptoms have resolved.
    • Fever
    • Diarrhea (three bowel movements)
    • Vomiting
    • Pink eye
    • Unusual skin rashes
    • Lice/Nits

***We ask that you update your emergency pick-up information regularly so in the event any of these symptoms due arise during the day someone is available to take your child home if you are unable to make it within a reasonable time frame (1 hour from the time of the first phone call)

  • If your child is experiencing mild symptoms such as but not limited to:
    • Coughing
    • Sneezing
    • Severe complaints of a headache/stomachache
    • Sore throat

We will use our discretion to decide whether your child may remain at the center or must be sent home. Once again, this is not meant to inconvenience any of our parents; on the contrary it is for the safety and full recovery of your child and the health of other children.
