‘A Note from the Directors’
Dear Families,
My name is Hailey Veksler, and I am honored to serve as the Co-Director of Steps to Success of Hollywood. My journey with Steps to Success began in 2019, and little did I know that what started as a summer job would soon turn into an extremely rewarding and fulfilling career. Over the years, I have had the privilege of wearing many hats—floater, camp counselor, classroom assistant, and manager—each role giving me a unique perspective on what it truly means to support young children and create an environment where they can flourish.
In 2024, I became the Manager of our sister location in Brooklyn, a role that helped me grow as a leader and contribute to the warm, community-focused environment our preschools are known for. This experience strengthened my passion for early childhood education and prepared me to confidently step into the role of Co-Director here in Hollywood, Florida. At Steps to Success, education exceeds the classrooms—it is the foundation for curiosity, confidence, and kindness. Through hands-on experiences, thoughtful guidance, and genuine care, I have seen how deeply children can grow when they are encouraged to be their most authentic selves.
Equally important is the partnership we build with our families. Strong relationships rooted in open communication ensure that parents feel supported, involved, and connected to their child’s journey. It is a privilege to work alongside you as your child learns, grows, and discovers the world around them and I am truly honored and excited to embark on this new chapter with all of you.
Our goal is for Steps to Success to feel like home for families and we are committed to making our facility a special place for your most prized possessions!
My name is Maxine Veksler, and I am proud to serve as the Co-Director of Steps to Success of Hollywood. Since joining the Steps team in 2016, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of roles and supporting students from six months to ten years of age. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding of what children need to truly thrive: an engaging, well-structured environment and educators who thoughtfully adapt their approaches to meet each child’s unique learning style. Over the years, I have come to appreciate that exceptional teaching requires continuous growth. I strive to embody that belief every day—remaining curious, reflective, and committed to learning alongside our students and staff.
In 2020, I was promoted to a Manager at Steps to Success VII (Marlboro, NJ) allowing me to hone and develop my skills further by viewing early education from a different perspective. Experience has taught me the importance of creating meaningful and trusting relationships with the families that confide in us to care for the most valued aspects of their lives. A hallmark of a strong relationship is an open line of communication and that is achieved by making sure that each and every member of our community is heard and valued.
In 2022, I transitioned into a Director position at Steps to Success of Long Island, a role I have proudly held ever since. During this time, I have been dedicated to strengthening our program, fostering staff growth, and cultivating a warm, connected school community that truly feels like a family. As I take the next step in bringing Steps to Success to Florida, I am eager to expand our mission into this new chapter. I look forward to meeting new families, creating meaningful experiences, and building a strong and supportive community in our Florida home.
